Nothing but the Truth

An excellent film highlighting the harsh battle between journalistic integrity and a society run on fear under the guise of national security. While the cast is star studded (Kate Beckinsale, Matt Dillon, Angela Bassett, Noah Wyle, David Schwimmer) it is Alan Alda who steals the show.

Not only does Alan Alda as Alan Burnside get some of the best lines in the film -

"Sometimes a mistake is wearing white after Labor Day .. and sometimes a mistake is invading Russia in winter."

He also seems to truly be the only one on the side of incarcerated reporter.

Expect to shed a few tears, get angry about the government and vehemently hate Matt Dillon. A tense dramatic tale which exhibits true character and bravery - not a film to miss.
