Filming will begin later this month for the first of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Cast members have been announced for Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, Uma Thurman as Medusa and Pierce Brosnan will play the god Chiron. Also starring are Sean Bean as Zeus, Kevin Kidd as Poseidon and Melina Kanakerides as Athena.
The Time Travelers Wife starring Eric Bana will be released this August. I remain unconvinced and slightly perturbed for their choice of leads.
Meryl Streep will star in the Nora Ephron-directed Julie & Julia, based on the 2005 book by Julie Powell. Meryl Streep as Julia Child? I'm not sure about this one either....
Most of all, I'm excited for the release of Where the Wild Things Are directed by Spike Jonze. Come on, August!
