Cadillac Records is the fascinating story of Chess Records started by Leonard Chess in Chicago and touches on the biographies of not only Leonard Chess but musical geniuses like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Chuck Berry and Etta James.
I see this as Beyonce's labor of love. She not only stars in the movie but carries an Executive Producer credit as well. Her portrayal of Etta James is poignant and full of feeling. Her rendition of "At Last" brought tears to my eyes.
There is a bit of sex, drugs and violence as any good Rock N' Roll movie should, so I'd watch it after the kiddos have gone to sleep.
